From: Tom Tromey <tromey <at> redhat.com> To: bug-gnu-emacs <at> gnu.org Subject: bug#4321: 23.1; bell is not terminal specific Date: Wed, 02 Sep 2009 13:12:35 -0600
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers usually do not have translators to read other languages for them. Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs <at> gnu.org mailing list, and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group. Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: I use ssh + emacsclient -t on my laptop to let me use my primary emacs from another room. I typed C-g here, and was surprised to hear a noise coming from the other room. I think that maybe visible-bell and ring-bell-function should be terminal-local. If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file /usr/share/emacs/23.1/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
