I recently got the opportunity to play with the Budgie desktop
environment:

- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budgie_(desktop_environment)

I liked it:

- It feels familiar enough for macOS / Windows users.
- It has modern UI features, such as arrow/mouse-based manual tiling and
  ubiquitous search.
- It's rather lightweight.
- It's snappy in that all buttons prompt an action instantly (on my
  machine at least).

I think it would be a nice addition to Guix :)
