Subject: 28.0.50; tramp-connection-properties not quite working for me

I have tramp-connection-properties as following:

(("ssh:motorola:" "tramp-tmpdir" "/sdcard/tmp")
 ("ssh:archos" "\"tramp-tmpdir\"" "/storage/emulated/0/tmp"))

And is not working for me. Do I do something wrong here in these
settings?

I have seen that only way to access devices is to redefine this
function:

(defun tramp-get-remote-tmpdir (vec)
"Return directory for temporary files on the remote host identified by VEC."
  (with-tramp-connection-property vec "tmpdir"
    (let ((dir
	   (tramp-make-tramp-file-name
vec (or (tramp-get-method-parameter vec 'tramp-tmpdir) "/storage/emulated/0/tmp")))) ;;; here I changed "/tmp" to my temporary directoriy
(or (and (file-directory-p dir) (file-writable-p dir)
	       (tramp-file-local-name dir))
(tramp-error vec 'file-error "Directory %s not accessible" dir))
      dir)))

Yet I would like to be able to redefine it individually for each device.

Try the following:

(("ssh:motorola:" "tmpdir" "/sdcard/tmp")
 ("ssh:archos" "tmpdir" "/storage/emulated/0/tmp"))

Best regards, Michael.

Are you sure that it works that way?

If you are sure, then close that bug report.

I have tried transferring file of 2 MB and I did not get problem or
message. But I am not quite sure, if you are sure, then it is done.

Now I am using scp method and it works way better.

Jean

Yes, I've tested :-)

Will do.
