Thanks for working on this! Unfortunately this currently embeds a binary blob (plat/rockchip/rk3399/drivers/dp/hdcp.bin) with no license. I reported the issue upstream: https://github.com/ARM-software/tf-issues/issues/651 The proposed solution would be to enable a build flag to disables the DRM feature that hdcp.bin is used for video streaming. I've talked with Kever Yang from Rockchip about getting the ability to disable the requirement for hdcp.bin upstream; I'm sure they'd welcome patches too! Thanks for working on this! I've been holding back on updating u-boot in Guix, as there are several unresolved bugs on other platforms, and the u-boot-tools package fails tests, last I tried. Might make sense to make versioned u-boot-2019.04 and u-boot-2019.10 packages (kind of like the linux-libre packages, possibly?), so that platforms that still need to use the older version don't hold back platforms that need or would benefit from the newer version? live well, vagrant --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYKAB0WIQRlgHNhO/zFx+LkXUXcUY/If5cWqgUCXaVGDwAKCRDcUY/If5cW qsMcAP9fv3cUs2XiAPFHfKffWjdAZVetw/HeobVCh/Rpo4B1/QD+KuRB8GV7JspQ SyYZGZ/NdBr0v/UhQNBnUNzXCKu0Vwc= =2EW9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=-- From unknown Sat Jun 14 19:32:53 2025 X-Loop: help-debbugs@gnu.org Subject: [bug#37741] [PATCH 2/3] gnu: Add arm-trusted-firmware-rk3399. Thanks! Was able to test on a rockpro64-rk3399 board, and it worked with u-boot. Pushed a slightly modified patch adding arm-trusted-firmware-rk3399 to guix/master in commit 074554a2891830900e2ff9335799416723094fcb. Will work on pushing the rest of the series as well; I've made some relatively minor changes locally... live well, vagrant --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYKAB0WIQRlgHNhO/zFx+LkXUXcUY/If5cWqgUCXaoRDgAKCRDcUY/If5cW qlDAAP9raLKi7euR1kYjS/C0hJNTOuOmfUyReT5Yda5uxhMXWwEAoNMH85/uNrLK 8JhubYT2ifH5VDxxba9ZO9VZ4UqXJwU= =Na8Z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=-- From unknown Sat Jun 14 19:32:53 2025 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: MIME-tools 5.505 (Entity 5.505) X-Loop: help-debbugs@gnu.org From: help-debbugs@gnu.org (GNU bug Tracking System) To: nomble@palism.com Subject: bug#37741: closed (Re: [PATCH 0/3] Update u-boot to 2019.10 and add u-boot-rockpro64-rk3399.) Didn't quite merge this, but added a u-boot-2019.10 variant in: 074554a2891830900e2ff9335799416723094fcb > gnu: Add arm-trusted-firmware-rk3399. It happened to be really good timing for me; I literally had a rockpro64-rk3399 already ordered and it arrived just yesterday so I even tested it! It would be *nice* to fix all the bugs in the many u-boot-* targets in newer u-boot versions, but for the moment I'm just doing what's needed to add this target (and while I was at it, rock64-rk3328). Marking this bug as done. live well, vagrant --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYKAB0WIQRlgHNhO/zFx+LkXUXcUY/If5cWqgUCXaokRAAKCRDcUY/If5cW qkU6AP9jLUidiNLoIzNo8E6Dl2tGTOkzZ2J4Z6iwsvmwYD/1IgEArOpJB6BdimlC LvsyPyGo1eLGH+OpbM0GnYr9EzFJsAQ= =w6XC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=-- ------------=_1571431562-4985-1 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Received: (at submit) by debbugs.gnu.org; 14 Oct 2019 05:37:35 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:37540 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1iJt2y-0001wX-EW for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Mon, 14 Oct 2019 01:37:35 -0400 Received: from lists.gnu.org ([209.51.188.17]:41973) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2r-00036V-J6 for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Sun, 13 Oct 2019 20:17:08 -0400 Received: from eggs.gnu.org ([2001:470:142:3::10]:59040) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.90_1) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2o-0005wQ-TZ for guix-patches@gnu.org; Sun, 13 Oct 2019 20:17:05 -0400 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on eggs.gnu.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.3 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_40,RCVD_IN_DNSWL_MED, URIBL_BLOCKED autolearn=disabled version=3.3.2 Received: from Debian-exim by eggs.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2l-0004dC-A3 for guix-patches@gnu.org; Sun, 13 Oct 2019 20:17:02 -0400 Received: from a2i315.smtp2go.com ([103.47.205.59]:39775) by eggs.gnu.org with esmtps (TLS1.0:RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:32) (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2k-0004bB-Aj for guix-patches@gnu.org; Sun, 13 Oct 2019 20:16:59 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=smtpservice.net; s=m9dnt0.a1-4.dyn; x=1571013118; h=Feedback-ID: X-Smtpcorp-Track:Message-Id:Date:Subject:To:From:Reply-To:Sender: List-Unsubscribe; bh=NSfCpmyUtL7hEHL4I86GX93FJ2N1FoABRTbZOTCRJNY=; b=o/uF3mUY 1PRrxz3iHwbTc/DwhRGCiwq1HRIMuWESJRqTcknPRftXMv28T1skI5DEtyCUThW3amRo+q2pd/2jY P+fyVAOZ/qRyO7Nj3C7FshI1KVdUGRi7nbnijWX8MesLKzZW5dXUWo9otKbaIQuqFN4AzXSJbMyTX Bj85rh7vTRxvjefzROjHfTQE/w+mkNaWBEmIcsc8qAn9QLdAcLksIZ751hRvlojQ//EsnQ1fSdLXo o/dK/aK5Gi4M3H6f+EYl4LXCOqJiFVlC4+T4idjZPLDpQPLRRzLXbzclAX+LDb74qtydedA23N5+i ksLtjIkdADujX5vIFNuJTKt5Rw==; DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=palism.com; i=@palism.com; q=dns/txt; s=s437609; t=1571012218; h=from : subject : to : message-id : date; bh=NSfCpmyUtL7hEHL4I86GX93FJ2N1FoABRTbZOTCRJNY=; b=UQ7a4TqpFWvP2l9EKWDwh+ncOHCtmT+YrmfzIrb5ZDJXvPSx5DJbSqeb7mzJSOLfD2rLog sqfO+qM7sytw/7KbgFyWu7/odkcEMQ6BKZO584qkW1Yrs77p8NNIJZDd1FrgTGWzSCU7SD+R qHf8JW5smwcYuSDx4o82X5Ag4b2EojIcOQNtaPLSG7uTATt7Wg4XJoJZfbVukUaecZEfXrTB DcfrJZ5h0GYDpmiCQ+gX9bXYwbruhGiFRwbeoyD6qoCmdaDKhsH9R7mqsBx3TIs+pjdWKeuK wp5UiwApJSMYZ6nW36tpObYbgfDUSwvqyGx5+jm2VlmscMCXbNT9J7OA== Received: from [10.139.162.187] (helo=SmtpCorp) by smtpcorp.com with esmtpsa (TLS1.2:ECDHE_RSA_AES_256_GCM_SHA384:256) (Exim 4.92-S2G) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2b-pH9Txt-MK; Mon, 14 Oct 2019 00:16:49 +0000 Received: from [10.71.224.214] (helo=palism.com) by smtpcorp.com with esmtpa (Exim 4.92-S2G) (envelope-from ) id 1iJo2a-4Xa6SN-Cx; Mon, 14 Oct 2019 00:16:48 +0000 Received: from suleiman.europe (suleiman.panic [10.0.1.194]) by palism.com (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 9940D3DA05; Sun, 13 Oct 2019 20:16:43 -0400 (EDT) From: nomble@palism.com To: guix-patches@gnu.org Subject: [PATCH 0/3] Update u-boot to 2019.10 and add u-boot-rockpro64-rk3399.
