M-( makes (). Nice.
M-{ doesn't make {} but instead send one flying.
I suppose they didn't have as many {} in lisp as ()'s when the guy wrote it.
Sigh.

OK, there should be a matching pair variable one could set,
that would bind the rest of them, and even "" '' ``.
