I think it’d be even better, and maybe simpler :-), to just make a new
screenshot.  Run:

  guix system vm gnu/system/examples/desktop.tmpl

with ‘inkscape’ and ‘emacs’ in the ‘packages’ field, and then:

  Ctrl-Alt-2
  screendump /tmp/shot.ppm

and voilà!

How does that sound?  :-)
