I believe commit 45fef894eb5b39029633cd0cd907e8ce8c5ab379 fixes it.

This was a top-level circular reference: gnome.scm was referencing
‘inkscape’ from inkscape.scm from its top-level, but inkscape.scm
requires gnome.scm.
