The main package list page includes the text "(updated March 4, 2019)" near the top of the page: https://www.gnu.org/software/guix/packages/ However, the entries for "linux-libre" shows the most recent kernel as version 4.20.7, although we updated to 4.20.8 on February 13: https://www.gnu.org/software/guix/packages/L/page/5/ The "icecat" entry is also stale. It shows version 60.5.0-guix1 as the latest version, although we upgraded to 60.5.1-guix1 on February 15. https://www.gnu.org/software/guix/packages/I/ Mark From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Mon Mar 18 16:35:06 2019 Received: (at 34777-done) by debbugs.gnu.org; 18 Mar 2019 20:35:06 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:49243 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1h5yyQ-0005Ir-5F for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Mon, 18 Mar 2019 16:35:06 -0400 Received: from eggs.gnu.org ([209.51.188.92]:41127) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1h5yyO-0005IF-KA for 34777-done@debbugs.gnu.org; Mon, 18 Mar 2019 16:35:05 -0400 Received: from fencepost.gnu.org ([2001:470:142:3::e]:45798) by eggs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1h5yyJ-0001qE-A2; Mon, 18 Mar 2019 16:34:59 -0400 Received: from [2a01:e0a:1d:7270:af76:b9b:ca24:c465] (port=59434 helo=ribbon) by fencepost.gnu.org with esmtpsa (TLS1.2:RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:256) (Exim 4.82) (envelope-from ) id 1h5yy8-00083R-Q7; Mon, 18 Mar 2019 16:34:49 -0400 From: =?utf-8?Q?Ludovic_Court=C3=A8s?= To: Mark H Weaver Subject: Re: bug#34777: Online package list is 3 weeks stale, but claims recent update References: <87y35rd1v9.fsf@netris.org> Date: Mon, 18 Mar 2019 21:34:46 +0100 In-Reply-To: <87y35rd1v9.fsf@netris.org> (Mark H. Perhaps what happened is that, for the previous update, =E2=80=9Chaunt buil= d=E2=80=9D ended up using the user=E2=80=99s (gnu packages =E2=80=A6) modules that hap= pened to be in the load path, and those were outdated. I usually run: ~/src/guix/pre-inst-env haunt build precisely so the web site gets to see the current package set, but it=E2=80= =99s easy to forget that. An option would be to have the web site get data from an inferior, perhaps from ~/.config/guix/current, assuming it=E2=80=99s reasonably up to= date (alternately the web site could build the latest Guix from master but that=E2=80=99d be inconvenient.) Anyway, closing! Ludo=E2=80=99.
