Hi Eli,

some information i deleted from the original report about the build from
the emacs 23.0.94 tarball using ./configure && make && sudo make install.

In GNU Emacs 23.0.94.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.16.1)
 of 2009-05-30 on brabbelbox
Windowing system distributor `The X.Org Foundation', version 11.0.10600000
configured using `configure  'CC=gcc''
