[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hi

To my knowledge only two pdf viewer, (linux) support hyperref, namely

    1. Okular

    2. And evince

The problem with evince is that, jumping back to the source of a link
can only done by the toolbar not by the keyboard. I searched for a
configuration but failed, so if anybody found a solution to that
problem, I would love to hear about it because I could stay with evince,
which I prefer.

So I changed the viewer from evince to okular via customize.

So my setting looks like:

 '(TeX-view-program-selection
   '(((output-dvi style-pstricks)
      "dvips and gv")
     (output-dvi "xdvi")
     (output-html "xdg-open")
     (output-pdf "Okular")))

Now what works is

    1. C-c C-c

    2. View

    3. Okular

What does not work is TeX-view directly. That causes an error whose
trace I attach. I am now very much used to TeX-view, so I would
appreciate a solution to that problem. Might the problem cause, because
there is a TeX-evince-sync-view, but now TeX-okular-sync-view????

I'm sorry, this is a regression due to my recent commit. The fix is
committed a week ago, so please sync with the latest git repository of
AUCTeX.

I don't know about this, unfortunately.

Thanks very much, that works now! So you can close that bug report.

BTW, I think this was already discussed on the list, but

https://git.savannah.gnu.org/git/auctex.git

Works nicely

While

git://git.savannah.gnu.org/git/auctex.git

Gives me a time out response.
