Some months ago I've tried this. But there were some non-trivial
problems, so this work is stalled.

However, it is easy to download the recent Tramp from
<https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/tramp/tramp-2.4.0.tar.gz>. The INSTALL file
will tell you how to install it.
