In the documentation, localstatedir is sometimes used as if it was /var
and sometimes as /var/guix.

examples:
the doc page 'the store' contains LOCALSTATEDIR/guix/db.
but the doc page for guix-daemon contains LOCALSTATEDIR/daemon-socket/socket
