Message #5 received at submit <at> emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com (full text, mbox):
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug <at> gnu.org mailing list.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
what I did (as a plain user, not root):
1) C-x C-f /su::/usr/src/ (successfully loggen in)
2) C-x C-f /tmp (dired window opened)
3) pressed 'C' on trace.txt file (some arbitrary file):
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 96 2009-04-11 00:16 trace.txt
4) then got the message as in *Messages*. Copy process failed of course.
5) just to give more info:
prompt$ ll /tmp/tramp.14050uqL.txt
ls: cannot access /tmp/tramp.14050uqL.txt: No such file or directory
tramp-version is a variable defined in `trampver.el'.
Its value is "2.1.15"
Documentation:
This version of Tramp.
If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/local/share/emacs/23.0.92/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
