So the problem, AIUI, is that psyntax evaluates syntax parameters using
‘primitive-eval’ (via ‘eval-local-transformer’), but memoization in
(ice-9 eval) is not thread-safe, hence the random crashes.

Not sure what can be done.  Thoughts?
