I wonder about ftp. I have run an rsync server before, but I don't know
if it can be used selective enough to just link to the latest file with
rsync. Or provide a line for rsync for those who want to mirror the
"gnu/guix/" directory on alpha.gnu.org.
Maybe as an addition to the patch below, which itself looks good to me.
