  I see the problem on GNU/Linux (Fedora):

Warning (python): Your ‘python-shell-interpreter’ doesn’t seem to
support readline, yet ‘python-shell-completion-native’ was t and
"python" is not part of the
‘python-shell-completion-native-disabled-interpreters’ list.  Native
completions have been disabled locally.

Python 2.7.13 (default, Jan 13 2017, 10:15:16) 
[GCC 6.3.1 20161221 (Red Hat 6.3.1-1)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
