Thanks for confirming. Recent versions of systemd’s pam-systemd set DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS as well. Our version of elogind does not. I just backported the changes from systemd 226 to elogind and will test this on my system. Doing this in pam-elogind would probably be best. -- Ricardo GPG: BCA6 89B6 3655 3801 C3C6 2150 197A 5888 235F ACAC https://elephly.net From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Wed Aug 29 20:19:58 2018 Received: (at 25631-done) by debbugs.gnu.org; 30 Aug 2018 00:19:58 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:37659 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1fvAgo-0005WH-BV for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:58 -0400 Received: from out1-smtp.messagingengine.com ([66.111.4.25]:52493) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1fvAgl-0005W8-Pd for 25631-done@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:56 -0400 Received: from compute4.internal (compute4.nyi.internal [10.202.2.44]) by mailout.nyi.internal (Postfix) with ESMTP id 458F12206F; Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:55 -0400 (EDT) Received: from mailfrontend1 ([10.202.2.162]) by compute4.internal (MEProxy); Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:55 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=famulari.name; h=cc:content-type:date:from:in-reply-to:message-id:mime-version :references:subject:to:x-me-sender:x-me-sender:x-sasl-enc; s= mesmtp; bh=tWCtBvDFcO1ONoxVb4IEdbVj0ZMYd/Swvbn+2Wf0X7Y=; b=r3Zdb 5fN4peLvTv44vmwz3IIuCvrBrO8BysA/8KmqNBWEBxlk8udGuqzb3DdKpeM1+Bnw oOx25msY1niYrsbtxPh6dUhT7vxI1W8yjYc9D7ytZm7hmLZFRqduw5p8Ro1vneAq yr7CzoUZ+sAAiz9luqHvYUs9e+F7JtxY+mrqb8= DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d= messagingengine.com; h=cc:content-type:date:from:in-reply-to :message-id:mime-version:references:subject:to:x-me-sender :x-me-sender:x-sasl-enc; s=fm3; bh=tWCtBvDFcO1ONoxVb4IEdbVj0ZMYd /Swvbn+2Wf0X7Y=; b=UidpZ6Nf1Z7ZBa9kBcnWwFSQyueWELrb63Qh3XP9D6DcM ofF9Bu33eJ2q7zEx4YN0sKOPYC/Fj5N2RuNkqNLgN4kz4F9P0R0j7iiXfXokr+mH fp6olE3Oomts66kBnnzHbEXAf9LyRP4qTthVRqZdUuXP9Xqk1OjEu0r5wq7tyMVZ vRQalCHXFvXSD5VBiRpOi8glc6D9bvXfC+i7vjiCl/6DjTFu9LPCaicDVH4r/eHq nES8CvQPTBmwv0qaoNUdwB4qyIzLLyCIdjdOA1cIxEJAV950CDR0f8UdjCqhwnrP MY2YXpPKbK/0mdXP7LmuxmEqqPGr49k8V9daKYb+g== X-ME-Proxy: X-ME-Sender: Received: from localhost (c-76-124-202-137.hsd1.pa.comcast.net [76.124.202.137]) by mail.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTPA id A179AE464C; Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:54 -0400 (EDT) Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2018 20:19:53 -0400 From: Leo Famulari To: Ricardo Wurmus Subject: Re: bug#25631: epiphany: Ad blocker does not work. Epiphany's ad blocker is now working for me on GuixSD with GNOME and a foreign distro. --W/nzBZO5zC0uMSeA Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCAAdFiEEsFFZSPHn08G5gDigJkb6MLrKfwgFAluHOCYACgkQJkb6MLrK fwiY8Q//VMdfUH4nN7rsIqTpLH6wP4oSNY1z0GScwHwmVt31m8qFPAcxb+Kqz3R6 oZ1QbB5Ioi8xVLEaBYt3FmRXrBhmAAmfreR/YkwO+93ByNq7+tvKD5Tv6MflhyiJ +xPPaDYXlEoH3rXJmDTlX60/yhCL8i7iRzm18ZuVwNbmiWwzrDmiljpTvF76PiIm qHXO2plcc0SBwmGDOLzw/cpauKx4bY2Xo0POorc0MILCSDYsPwTYdh98LuXB0O9X QaiO2oaVlsAEaP/jhhfyeGg8JYIIW8ZPf0d4mNq4aXNEYehGxQ8dQsiITtbxEBbM tdammPkX9t5bN1hzT0uRkoLFlMIhGyp5+IJYA92UbROX+Okf0CIbTcDkX7/eNHiH inrM7OPQF6KG5K8vHoDkyw+VhwPiBxxj/NzAdjDxwTYo9MpBOFsPSx9BdVIpqgZR Vt+Z66X6g6g/pGoLRLwoBnChJumOs+Ml+dusJWfake9zCUg4et6bld7sRAxx8jJw kV7NnrAck415cpQY/6iIEcHUyxO5pNiKPwvpVOX1WdTz6IEs/By5ZhZp5Bwe5bbA Xy8QStOyL/EqgpBDfCrbBX+lK7cZ4BK89VZRIpgNbM4Wh1iTBH2EdjWwPka2iyOO SiobYX0NeL7VK+WH0KDR6obTbEa6XGXumrbNQq/Vx1sucqBUBtk= =Zgon -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --W/nzBZO5zC0uMSeA-- From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Thu Aug 30 04:10:01 2018 Received: (at 25631-done) by debbugs.gnu.org; 30 Aug 2018 08:10:01 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:37868 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1fvI1h-0002MT-DX for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Thu, 30 Aug 2018 04:10:01 -0400 Received: from sender-of-o51.zoho.com ([135.84.80.216]:21090) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1fvI1f-0002MK-0K for 25631-done@debbugs.gnu.org; Thu, 30 Aug 2018 04:09:59 -0400 ARC-Seal: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; t=1535615683; cv=none; d=zoho.com; s=zohoarc; b=d9BQ+mrhjNPQqj1VQanGBzKuBuhNvWEOgB/zIv6DPqcnODQAH2NQMIw/RZ2X5oz78exCz4YI1BNT/iHFh7sf2CKXtx3W6xTjlDV1P/3mQvLfYmXnUGtO39Lu0dMPglwHprtReHD5hvJcxf4j3AN1M5BhthCoJ6xBQkYWEzZnJSc= ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=zoho.com; s=zohoarc; t=1535615683; h=Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding:Cc:Date:From:In-Reply-To:MIME-Version:Message-ID:References:Subject:To:ARC-Authentication-Results; bh=RKGSUhQzVTFHdLI2qZXCi3ZuEIOktIC4iJd/8PAnODQ=; b=dmTQxc7kBLws3X5PIACFFgMYzBqF8d0DJSRJeBO1yHlK8ULVh0tcd8rTqvlqz/10ztnrpqcUnEKJzdUg8xFMPJ9imjMRluL66AfGBSXlPop+YKSQ6CpwsNeLGv304QKf5pGYpkzlR7A6I0ftwaGR5siIfLP8yG1SBy73IE/89/0= ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx.zoho.com; dkim=pass header.i=elephly.net; spf=pass smtp.mailfrom=rekado@elephly.net; dmarc=pass header.from= header.from= DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; t=1535615683; s=zoho; d=elephly.net; i=rekado@elephly.net; h=References:From:To:Cc:Subject:In-reply-to:Date:Message-ID:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding; l=1102; bh=RKGSUhQzVTFHdLI2qZXCi3ZuEIOktIC4iJd/8PAnODQ=; b=aZR6n4tEx9zyZ9DnnzH/n773YJSt4SAqfNyTZ3WIiMLp4TN3jEGGKjRjDboYFFEz CCzKjihylqgLB4/LEfcsL13co1uSOFKY1I4u68JKDsrmKK2XrnNOaahU90UKVmeshh8 bB3cGel4kE+p7vcnsDxvH3ZicogUiBLGbWYTS5Tk= Received: from localhost (port-92-200-120-10.dynamic.qsc.de [92.200.120.10]) by mx.zohomail.com with SMTPS id 1535615681932346.75014039434586; Thu, 30 Aug 2018 00:54:41 -0700 (PDT) References: <87zihzvaym.fsf@elephly.net> <20180830001953.GA6060@jasmine.lan> User-agent: mu4e 1.0; emacs 26.1 From: Ricardo Wurmus To: Leo Famulari Subject: Re: bug#25631: epiphany: Ad blocker does not work. Yes, it does work in GNOME. I think I used it in StumpWM when it didn=E2= =80=99t work. The session was not wrapped in dbus-launch. Now I=E2=80=99m using E= XWM, which is started within dbus-launch, and the ad blocker does work. I suspect that the only problem was that DBus wasn=E2=80=99t working proper= ly when starting StumpWM without the dbus-launch wrapper. I hope this information will be helpful to people from the future who find this old bug report through a web search. -- Ricardo From unknown Fri Sep 05 14:57:43 2025 Received: (at fakecontrol) by fakecontrolmessage; To: internal_control@debbugs.gnu.org From: Debbugs Internal Request Subject: Internal Control Message-Id: bug archived.
