I hit this on Wednesday, I think its a problem in the profile generation code, related to character encoding, and possibly to do with locales. It was triggered by the recent nss-certs update, but I don't think that has anything to do with it, apart from introducing some files with names including non-ascii characters. I've filed bug#25213 about this which includes instructions to reproduce = it. --2fqltEejnit1fAnP8PPASBAprHIRSqUV0-- --PXx81IfOtq2nDfhWmIj9x60vRaMpag301 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQJFBAEBCAAvFiEEPonu50WOcg2XVOCyXiijOwuE9XcFAlhTDTkRHG1haWxAY2Jh aW5lcy5uZXQACgkQXiijOwuE9XeI8RAArlnjzf4QyfsTvfQ6B9pWsV0+89vybr1p sdFDxRXqY4yyz2MUhaARzlI/JdMxQVlhsvGhCL0LkiudogNPJF9PGCnDMXA4TWvs G5SPwwmINMHs5j89wZW9nbNkryPBOxe3PXb7zk7ENJYqZ3oIidkLhz9Rb+CugzIV fjfLnBfSt8/iDeZ63NcSHBNTs2Z5zRurxsmzMcs7ANy0Z+nbJjYsepEHg9i5c/zf 1tBzuMaA3/3cC1UTBVLrZbBIYpiSaV597xMML9u7L+Y3f38Cgfz7OOJJnnLiycyE 0D/4VfBtOAaoNT46cuPcdxIoLetXAaosTh7dguSXldAm49hhpZtOTYuptiR0KK+y BdmojDMtoP0WWFEIFuzuKNCd6jWvZcPJzV76A3/RlQDfmuNB2nSLjOi7FJ8UGpHb Uhw+R8+jVNq/DvqvOPiS9P2JLPTV2bq92X+dYUXIE1dALoWXkodsmYe7s0k+Ybwn xw8R8rXzDUTXVcdmpDh3vFbaX/5YXGVyFMnkEjRX7hTdox3o/N5ZVxE3Nr/MAGZg W7IqGNIFZ3nimBtQ+aW89W+bz8zHaBIuhRcCLu3zwBTNWJDFXGMqcwzZwnnGDhPF VmGjD1GJUhgJeg8sUfcjNQjCVty4ox6kHCerIKWZKl/dcxwsLC2Lfo0Xy927y2FJ 78GHQNPiSUM= =l1Yi -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --PXx81IfOtq2nDfhWmIj9x60vRaMpag301-- From unknown Sat Aug 16 18:42:45 2025 X-Loop: help-debbugs@gnu.org Subject: bug#25200: guix lint throws gnutls error Resent-From: Maxim Cournoyer Original-Sender: "Debbugs-submit" Resent-CC: bug-guix@gnu.org Resent-Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2016 17:58:01 +0000 Resent-Message-ID: Resent-Sender: help-debbugs@gnu.org X-GNU-PR-Message: followup 25200 X-GNU-PR-Package: guix X-GNU-PR-Keywords: To: ludo@gnu.org (Ludovic =?UTF-8?Q?Court=C3=A8s?=) Cc: 25200@debbugs.gnu.org Received: via spool by 25200-submit@debbugs.gnu.org id=B25200.148191107520045 (code B ref 25200); Fri, 16 Dec 2016 17:58:01 +0000 Received: (at 25200) by debbugs.gnu.org; 16 Dec 2016 17:57:55 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:44521 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1cHwlX-0005DF-GV for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Fri, 16 Dec 2016 12:57:55 -0500 Received: from mail-pf0-f169.google.com ([209.85.192.169]:36069) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1cHwlV-0005D1-MN for 25200@debbugs.gnu.org; Fri, 16 Dec 2016 12:57:54 -0500 Received: by mail-pf0-f169.google.com with SMTP id 189so15301211pfz.3 for <25200@debbugs.gnu.org>; Fri, 16 Dec 2016 09:57:53 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20161025; h=from:to:cc:subject:references:date:in-reply-to:message-id :user-agent:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding; bh=W212pH/R7KpjSj9rhcv4uO8cV4K/2XakHiL2DERDsww=; b=uhSyn47++C4AvmtN/AaEskrtLQkH0QRfGTI40wc/IvU/CozwpDvUeHujXX2BagCx2t arV3z36ILtQT5YCJRqoaCAYzMi6mcbaDkLA3Nv+u5ruVMq1O1l2imScKFQ2pSIRpXjYl fO+iqSlXKkVqA+KfQLrHhPA657ViYMjk/7zZt6mImEwbUQE6Ar2eqto/4SkH3oe4vmGT YB3tyWqvfy+PKrFkNCGMSn7/kBqs2Vkmibnb7Kd8U+9MR0DKrU4Qc5Bi9i0nFTKT93B6 1aGUkkDxG62OmBwzgrIhVEaZ9MIYV2VunQ41CbWYuE0ViuckcFgiH6vFb3Fona1/pDNW lwJg== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20161025; h=x-gm-message-state:from:to:cc:subject:references:date:in-reply-to :message-id:user-agent:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding; bh=W212pH/R7KpjSj9rhcv4uO8cV4K/2XakHiL2DERDsww=; b=D/jL3eOKYYOTEx7meloYh7iSER5x7OCKLj02cqJAAb9sILivuC0mFU2mbjw5ssXnLB C/rhkOD2DQmnWYu/zxngVgBEQOIIiQ/eHsVl3W2+aSUEUoA0UN3t0W8DN1BANpx9KSYV l9ExaDs4/cvONgmZPK1jx3xYo3/ZCHt1V4nZS3Rz93MnSLshiZC2NRkhkDiZbGcUHadl 1O4PMVF/Z76BvXU7m8ng0uyHQCTaQKr5QSyRxqm+EO1cd4tVtu+X2h9r+LNVwuiaAQsE DXukjHStoP0b5EUTVsr7pjqbOeqKgcmMMOObqKy3aLtALt+uTVs6JHu7RBA0iBd0TrNh K92Q== X-Gm-Message-State: AKaTC02KYdsWGgXxR2ae6M3d9Klpmz707tYR5I1IEebAmGHHDSuIaYknxXI/bvVle2Zm0Q== X-Received: by 10.98.153.20 with SMTP id d20mr4426688pfe.44.1481911067810; Fri, 16 Dec 2016 09:57:47 -0800 (PST) Received: from apteryx ([2601:647:4100:e0d:c2f8:daff:fe5d:2f2f]) by smtp.gmail.com with ESMTPSA id 131sm13339176pfx.92.2016.12.16.09.57.46 (version=TLS1_2 cipher=ECDHE-RSA-CHACHA20-POLY1305 bits=256/256); Fri, 16 Dec 2016 09:57:46 -0800 (PST) From: Maxim Cournoyer References: <87pokufmr4.fsf@gmail.com> <87oa0ddv7r.fsf@gnu.org> Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2016 09:57:45 -0800 In-Reply-To: <87oa0ddv7r.fsf@gnu.org> ("Ludovic \=\?utf-8\?Q\?Court\=C3\=A8s\=22'\?\= \=\?utf-8\?Q\?s\?\= message of "Thu, 15 Dec 2016 17:15:52 +0100") Message-ID: <87shpneoyu.fsf@gmail.com> User-Agent: Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/25.1 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Spam-Score: -0.7 (/) X-BeenThere: debbugs-submit@debbugs.gnu.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Errors-To: debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Sender: "Debbugs-submit" X-Spam-Score: -0.7 (/) Hi Ludovic! ludo@gnu.org (Ludovic Court=C3=A8s) writes: > What is the value of SSL_CERT_DIR? The value of SSL_CERT_DIR is "/etc/ssl/certs".

Looking for dangling symlinks, I got:

find /etc/ssl/certs/ -xtype l
/etc/ssl/certs/T??RKTRUST_Elektronik_Sertifika_Hizmet_Sa??lay??c?= ?s??_H6:2.6.125.161.242.101.236.138.pem

It seems this could be related to the non-ascii characters in the
