Indeed, it's a side effect of the new feature whereby subprocesses are
told to adjust their window size when the size of the buffer in which
they run changes.

I fixed this on the emacs-25 branch, so I'm marking the bug done.
Feel free to reopen if there are some left-overs.

To reproduce:
- start a terminal emulator with M-x term
- switch to other buffer
- switch back to *terminal* buffer

When switching back to the terminal buffer, the point position is not kept,
but set to point-min.
