No, I don't want us to do that.  The problem is not so bad in an
optimized build, and Emacs is not really stuck, it still responds to
keyboard input.

In any case, let's first see what it takes to fix this.  Perhaps the
fix is so simple we can allow it in Emacs 25.1.
