Great - pulled from git and configured as the last one

| CFLAGS="-ggdb3 -O0" CXXFLAGS="-ggdb3 -O0" LDFLAGS="-ggdb3" ./configure --enable-checking='yes,glyphs'

and am now running without the inhibit-try-* set to true

So far (45 minutes) no crash. Will keep you posted..
