Create a file that has `whitespace-line-column' as file-local variable.
Upon loading the file, the prompt for applying this unsafe variable
appears. I think the variable could be marked safe if it's either an
integer or nil.

Looks like this has been fixed in the years since this bug was filed:
This variable is safe as a file local variable if its value
satisfies the predicate ‘integerp’.
It's only for integerp, not nil, though.
