Subject: bug#19871: 25.0.50; inferior python mode: cannot select text on the active commandline

Hi. I'm using a very recent build of emacs. The latest commit to
python.el is

  commit da726ad0c6177a3442a374a135f40a24945d362c
  Date: Thu Feb 12 00:41:07 2015 -0300

Currently it's impossible to select any text on the commandline being
typed into the inferior mode. All other lines are fine. Recipe:

1. emacs -Q
2. M-x run-python
3. Type something, but do not press enter
4. C-SPC
5. Move around with arrow keys

Normally C-SPC activates the region, so moving around highlights it.
Here, however, no region is activated.
