Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
Remember to cover the basics, that is, what you expected to happen and
what in fact did happen.
Be sure to consult the FAQ section in the manual before submitting
a bug report. In addition check if the bug is reproducable with an
up-to-date version of AUCTeX. So please upgrade to the version
available from http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/ if your
installation is older than the one available from the web site.
If the bug is triggered by a specific (La)TeX file, you should try
to produce a minimal sample file showing the problem and include it
in your report.
Your bug report will be posted to the AUCTeX bug reporting list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please add .hva to the list of auto-mode-alist suffixes supported by
AuCTeX. This is the suffix of HeVeA files (HeVeA: http://hevea.inria.fr/
). These are in LaTeX syntax. HeVeA is a long-lived libre LaTeX→HTML
converter which has no Emacs mode or any other Emacs support (which
makes sense, since it introduces no new file formats). It uses files
suffixed .hva to give instructions on converting LaTeX to HTML for
particular packages, but they’re written in LaTeX format.
Hence, it makes little sense to ask its authors to add Emacs support,
but it seems to make sense to add a line to AuCTeX.
