I can't swear to it, but I think that I saw the same thing when
I was on Windows XP (32-bit).  That was more than a year ago
so I might not remember correctly.

Thanks for checking.  Hopefully someone else can check on
Windows 7 64-bit.

(I assume that you checked the focus by typing some text or
something.  Here, the text is inserted in the buffer when I
hit `C-h v'.)
