The " wrecks the colors in perl mode.

    my $lines = <<'HERE_TARGET';
BLA
#By the way this comment is not a comment so should not be highlighted
MLA"
ZZZ
HERE_TARGET
    print $lines;

Single quotes would wreck it too.
