OK, thanks, I think we need to fix things by arranging for Emacs to call 
pthread_sigmask rather than sigprocmask.  So, I'm curious as to why 
HAVE_PTHREAD_SIGMASK is not defined in config.h.  Can you please send 
the contents of config.log?  gzipped and attached is fine.
