Subject: bug#17371: 24.4.50; *Completions* buffer flickering
Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2014 15:45:42 +0200
From "emacs -Q":
  C-x C-f C-q ?

A *Completions* buffers appears for a fraction of a second, and is then
killed quickly. The buffer lasts much less than a second, but it
visible anyway, causing an annoying effect of flickering.

No buffer should be created in this case, since "?" is quoted.
