M-x grep put me in a loop I could not quit out of.
Here's the backtrace after C-g C-g put me into GDB.
Grep had already terminated, but Emacs had not exited the loop
even a minute later.

It happened twice today.  One time, the current buffer was in Mail mode,
and maybe that was true both times.

Any idea why sys_suspend is on the call stack?  Did you really type
C-z?

    Any idea why sys_suspend is on the call stack?  Did you really type
    C-z?

C-g C-g (emergency escape) calls  sys_suspend.

This was reported 6.5 years ago.  Are you still seeing this?

And that was a year ago, so I think it's unlikely that there will be
further progress in this bug report, and I'm closing it.  If the problem
reappears, please respond to the debbugs address and we'll reopen it.
