Subject: bug#15627: 23.4; docstring for `mode-line-format' should link to default
Date: Tue, 15 Oct 2013 21:51:19 -0400
The docstring for `mode-line-format' does not link to
`default-mode-line-format', and there's no way to find it from looking
at the help for `mode-line-format' because the source link for
`mode-line-format' is to a C source file, which is probably not even
installed and even if it were contains no information about the default
value.

Basically, this is a suggestion to include "`default-mode-line-format'"
somewhere in the docstring, preferably near the top.
