I'm not sure if this is a problem with emacs or CentOS, but I noticed that both emacs 21 and 22 display the most bizarre behavior on CentOS. On Debian, emacs 21.4.1 and emacs 22.3.1 take about 0.2s to load (with --eval '(kill-emacs)') and on CentOS, the same versions both take 65.0s to load.

Any reason?

Andrew Robbins

Thanks for the report. Your report was against an old version of Emacs,
and lacks the information necessary for us to investigate it.
The latest version is 23.3. Please open new reports for any issues you
have with the new version.
