Use the arrow to the left of the option name to toggle visibility." Would it be possible to make such behaviour customizable for users that would prefer the old behaviour? The old behaviour let users check quickly what the behaviour of a package was supposed to be, according to the value of its various options. The new behaviour requires users to click on each option to get a glimpse of what to expect from a mode. My guess is that the new behaviour aims to lessen the possibility of accidental edits, but that is not an issue with more experienced users. Thank you for your attention. Best Regards. (I'm going through old bug reports that unfortunately weren't resolved at the time.) Many customization groups are very large, and some of the widgets take up a lot of space. So in my opinion, a user option like this wouldn't be used by a lot of people, so it's not worth adding, and I'm therefore closing this bug report. -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) bloggy blog: http://lars.ingebrigtsen.no From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Tue May 10 09:44:24 2022 Received: (at control) by debbugs.gnu.org; 10 May 2022 13:44:24 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:60863 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1noQA4-00009g-3N for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 10 May 2022 09:44:24 -0400 Received: from quimby.gnus.org ([95.216.78.240]:55434) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1noQA2-00009A-EX for control@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 10 May 2022 09:44:22 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gnus.org; s=20200322; h=Subject:From:To:Message-Id:Date:Sender:Reply-To:Cc: MIME-Version:Content-Type:Content-Transfer-Encoding:Content-ID: Content-Description:Resent-Date:Resent-From:Resent-Sender:Resent-To:Resent-Cc :Resent-Message-ID:In-Reply-To:References:List-Id:List-Help:List-Unsubscribe: List-Subscribe:List-Post:List-Owner:List-Archive; bh=Yh3+1ptSsr7j172y8wofd0Mny73w5Y+0hzNhGaEEIpQ=; b=mhKKTHxlIj9a5cKWHfN1Mavma/ Cpz12dsaH3/6ZIMtO+nh+sLYSWekY1dhnkXipMP2/wfuNsi1pP4EUWiY33pY+m5L2cw6kMef/u/8e 31FYWgQgphYLbvFUHyd7lI2Dw76TebZD3gDgUqpvdCiFy3bnaiE8n2YJi5PeKrakE2YE=; Received: from [84.212.220.105] (helo=xo) by quimby.gnus.org with esmtpsa (TLS1.3:ECDHE_RSA_AES_256_GCM_SHA384:256) (Exim 4.92) (envelope-from ) id 1noQ9u-00045t-Ew for control@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 10 May 2022 15:44:16 +0200 Date: Tue, 10 May 2022 15:44:13 +0200 Message-Id: <875ymdh58y.fsf@gnus.org> To: control@debbugs.gnu.org From: Lars Ingebrigtsen Subject: control message for bug #14807 X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "quimby.gnus.org", has NOT identified this incoming email as spam.
