$ getent ahosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost

$ getent ahostsv6
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost

Other applications do not seem to have problems resolving dual-address
hosts. And as I mentioned, passing :family 0 to make-network-process
makes emacs correctly resolve the addresses as well...
