All the failures reported in the attaches test-suite.log are
due to the fact that you are still using Texinfo 4.8, while
rules generated by Automake 1.13 require Texinfo >= 4.9.  This
is reported in Automake's NEWS file:

  * Texinfo Support:

    - The rules to build PDF and DVI files from Texinfo input now
      require Texinfo 4.9 or later.

    ...

Since this is an intended change, I'm closing this report as
"not a bug" and "won't fix".
