This is not a very big deal but do you see same behaviour. Every time I
retrieve mail from pop3 source last value of progress I can see in
modeline is 101 or 102%.

Gnus v5.13
GNU Emacs 24.1.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.12)
 of 2012-09-22 on batsu, modified by Debian

I think this was fixed in the current development version.  It was
caused by not counting CRLF correctly.
