I would deprecate them.  By working at all they suck people into using
them when they should be avoided.

  $ uname -m
  9000/800

  $ uname -i
  1545710558

  $ uname -p
  uname: illegal option -- p
  usage: uname [-amnrsvil] [-S nodename]
