23.3.50; wrong type argument

Tab appears broken in python mode. I get an error that says:
    wrong-type-argument number-or-marker-p nil
when I press Tab

Sorry; but that is a forked version of a 1 year old development snapshot.
Python mode works fine in the latest Emacs release, 24.2.
You'll find a prebuilt version at http://emacsformacosx.com/
