I reproduced this error and the backtrace was:

  helm-c-adaptive-save-history()
  kill-emacs()
  save-buffers-kill-emacs(nil)
  save-buffers-kill-terminal(nil)
  call-interactively(save-buffers-kill-terminal nil nil)


Looks like a problem with helm-c-adaptive-save-hisotry possibly?
