Subject: Worse excess consing while visiting files
Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2008 22:01:52 -0400
I am going thru a directory in Dired and visiting the files in it,
each of which is a message I have written, as saved from *mail*.
Each time I visit one of these files, I get TWO garbage collections.
(On rare occasions just one.)

I have 51 buffers at present, and only one of them
is ` *code-conversion-work*', so that's not it.
