I have gnus-group-use-permanent-levels customized to 't', but whenever I use
'2 g', gnus-group-use-permanent-levels gets set to '5'.  '2 l' changes it to
2, but 'g' doesn't appear to use the permanent level setting.

I notice this because '2 g' is very fast in my setup, while '5 g' is quite
slow.

This should now be fixed in Ma Gnus.
