Message #34 received at 10656 <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
They are allowed to point to a copy of the source on
the Internet,
Only if they have made an arrangement to assure the source
will remain available in the place they point to it.
but it's their responsibility to make sure that the
copy stays on the Internet for at least three years, and it's questionable
whether they can fulfill this obligation merely by pointing at a
gnu.org copy, as the GNU project sometimes takes source code down for
various reasons.
It is not questionable at all -- it is clearly inadequate.
(We do not make such arrangements -- we have other work to do.)
So they are violating the GPL. Would you like to tell them?
Or else, send a report to license-violation <at> gnu.org?
