Subject: 23.3; modeline or mode-line? Naming Consistency
Date: Mon, 19 Dec 2011 21:50:04 +0530
Well, this is not exactly a bug but I found 2 instances of modeline
being used instead of mode-line. M-x apropos gave the list below, of
which only the last 2 seem relevant *and* that is differently named to
the more common modeline.

Is there a reason for this? Wouldn't this get missed when people
search for the more common 'mode-line'?

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
modeline
Face: Obsolete alias for the face `mode-line'.
  Plist: face-alias obsolete-face
modeline-buffer-id
Face: Obsolete alias for the face `mode-line-buffer-id'.
  Plist: face-alias obsolete-face
modeline-highlight
Face: Obsolete alias for the face `mode-line-highlight'.
  Plist: face-alias obsolete-face
modeline-inactive
Face: Obsolete alias for the face `mode-line-inactive'.
  Plist: face-alias obsolete-face
redraw-modeline
Function: Force redisplay of the current buffer's mode line and header line.
timeclock-modeline-display
Command: Toggle display of the amount of time left today in the modeline.
  Plist: event-symbol-element-mask event-symbol-elements modifier-cache
