Gentoo also has a (rather trivial) patch that fixes some warnings with newer Emacs versions: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/tree/app-emacs/pinentry/files/pinentry-emacs-29.patch (I still don't entirely understand why pinentry.el was dropped from Emacs proper, but I won't challenge the decision made in bug #27445.)
