PATH="`echo $PATH | sed -e s/:[\.]:/:/g -e s/:[\.]// -e s/[\.]://`" `dirname $0` in export PTS_DIR=$(readlink -f `dirname $0`) (maybe also around the whole $(...)) construct. E.g., try readlink -f `echo 0 1` -- instead of reading the file "0 1", it reads "0" and "1". Greetings, Maxime.
